Under construction reflects the transience, the magic of 40 years of waiting passengers, pregnant women, couples in love, exhausted professionals, children playing catch, teenagers smoking a cigarette, those who are tired of life before the jump, subway drivers who have to report a personal injury.
Who could have guessed the beauty of the bare walls of the Sendlinger Tor subway station when the cladding was removed? In the summer of 2020, I spent hours reading the many stories. From the more than 100 photos, I edited the most exciting ones.
History, present, future, there is something for everyone.
Papalandis worldrooom, 2023

On the Plain Air painting trip in November 2023, we spent the night in a farmhouse whose ceiling was made of bricks. The faces told me their life stories. The world of their winegrower Papa Landi, whom they miss dearly.
Explosions, 2019-2021

All the pictures in this series between 2019 and 2021 are based on a photo I took while cooking. Sauces, soups, ginger, pineapple, always up close to capture the hidden treasures of textures and colors. I find cooking a meditative process. It usually takes one and a half to two hours. I discover the most diverse movements during cooking and also during the subsequent processing, and unexpected universes emerge. I love this slow dynamic.
Serious faces, 2019-2021

Romanesque sculpture has opened the door to many worlds of thought for me. So did the Romanesque baptismal font of the monastery church in Windberg in Lower Bavaria from the thirteenth century.
The twelve heads are part of approx. 25 cm high bas-reliefs of the twelve apostles. The weathered limestone makes the approximately 8 cm high heads stand out even better. Recessed reliefs play with light and shadow in a special way. The hollows in the facial features create shadows that emphasize the character even more, especially when the light falls from the side.
There is currently an exhibition in the Andreaskirche in Fürstenried West – Munich.
In memoria indolore, 2023

From my last visit in February 2023, I was most impressed by the walls of the house front in Via Camillo Benso di cavour: Moisture permeates old houses and writes stories of grief, hurt, searching, fear and despair in the plaster. Nevertheless, one cannot deny the beauty of the structures that nature has created.
